Other Terms used by Cooperation

Published is a Cooperation term that means the automatic scheduling is complete and available for employees to make changes i.e. trade shifts. Although the schedule is always visible to everyone with a login and password, employees can only make shift change requests once the schedule for that time period has been published. Until then, only the Administrator can make changes to the system.

Qualifications are those certificates or specialized training degrees that employees must have in your organization or industry in order to perform certain functions. Not all jobs have special qualifications so this is an optional function. However, if your industry requires these certifications, especially ones that have to be renewed, Cooperation will track these and remind the Administrator and the Employee when they are due. Qualifications also include statements about specific skills an Employee has such as "knows how to care for patients with urgent care needs" or "knows how to run the trash compactor" that are important to know when scheduling a shift.

Proficiency is a Cooperation term that refers to the skill level at which an employee performs an activity in your organization. Proficiency is set by the Administrator.

Calendar is used to refer to the details of when an Activity needs to be done and when Employees are available. They have day and time parameters like any calendar. Both Activities and Employees need calendars. The process for setting up either of these calendars is virtually the same.

Schedule is the result of what Cooperation does with the Activity and Employee calendars to create the actual Shift Schedules.
