About qualifications

In some organizations and industries, there are specific certifications required in order to perform a particular function e.g. nursing, food handling etc. In others, there may be more experience based requirements such as length of time doing the activity (in your organization and others) or specific skills such "knows how to use the Trash Compactor".

Qualifications are a list of all specific certifications or skills used in your company e.g.

• Food Handlers Certificate
• Registered Nurse
• Registered Practical Nurse
• Valid Driver's License
• "knows how to restart the pilot on the gas ovens"

or specific skills that are needed in your organization. {Once you have entered this information, it can be applied to any employee record. In some cases, only one person per shift must have a certain qualification and you can indicate this by choosing 'at least one' or 'everyone' when you define the Qualification Requirement. Qualifications is an optional parameter. If you don't need to use it, just leave it blank when you are creating the Role.
